Chat is the messaging hub of the Key platform. It lets you have one-on-one or group conversations that stay with you across events, communities, and individual connections.
🚀 How to Use Chat
First-Time Experience
Go to the Messages icon on the upper right corner of the home screen.
Tap the “+” button or “Start Chat” button on screen to begin.
Starting a New Chat
To start a Direct Message:
Tap “+”
Search for a user
Start chatting
To create a Group Chat:
Tap “+”
Add multiple participants
Send your first message.
Once a group chat is created, you can customize it by tapping the top bar. This allows you to set the group name, add a description, choose an image, and manage members.
Managing Conversations
On the web, just click the three dots on the right side of the chat that appear when you hover over the chat name.
In the app, you can slide the chat to the left to see the three dots menu. If you want to pin the chat directly, slide right to find the pin option.
Pin chats to access them quickly.
Mute or archive chats to reduce distractions.
Clear or delete chats that are no longer needed.
Block or report inappropriate users easily.
